COVID Response

THE KISHKINDA TRUST

The Kishkinda Trust, supported by The India Design Fund, distributed food relief packages to over 200 women artisan families during lockdown in Anegundi and Bukkasagara.

We raised public awareness in the community on Covid-19 risks and encouraged mask wearing, social distancing, work from home and avoiding large get-togethers.

Women artisans continued to secure income through handicrafts based livelihoods which especially helped families where male members had lost their jobs due to lockdown related restrictions. Online tutorials on smartphones helped teach new handicrafts skills to uplift the spirits of the artisan community by engaging in creative pursuits.
